EBT Chartered Professional Accountants is seeking a motivated and ambitious CPA Student to join our Medicine Hat team. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting Principals with accounting, auditing, and tax tasks, while developing skills that complement your CPA studies. With over 50 years of experience and offices in Medicine Hat, AB and Swift Current, SK, EBT provides full-service bookkeeping, accounting, taxation, and advisory services to a diverse client base.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Preparation: Assist with preparing financial statements and reports for clients. Prepare personal and corporate tax returns and assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Audit Support: Support audits by preparing working papers, reviewing financial records, and ensuing compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounting & Financial Management: Process and maintain financial entries to ensure proper recording of transactions. Maintain and control accounting entries.
- CPA Support: Support the CPAs with file preparation and other related tasks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, determined priorities and complete requirements.
- Strong client-relation skills.
- Proficiency with technology and a proven ability to easily learn new software programs.
- Ability to learn Caseware, Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, Taxprep, and Microsoft office suite
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Enrolled or planning to enroll in the CPA PEP Program.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in accounting.
