Seasonal Tax Preparer - Swift Current

EBT Chartered Professional Accountants is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our Swift Current office for the upcoming tax season. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a public accounting environment while working with a supportive and collaborative team.
About the Role
As a Seasonal Tax Preparer, you will assist our tax team during peak season by preparing personal income tax returns and supporting related administrative tasks. Training is provided, and you will work under the guidance of experienced tax professionals.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare T1 personal income tax returns using EBT’s approved tax software
- Review and organize client documents for completeness and accuracy
- Enter tax slips and financial information with a high level of detail
- Communicate with clients to request missing information or clarify details
- Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining electronic and paper records
- Assemble completed tax packages for review
- Support the tax team in meeting deadlines during peak periods
What We’re Looking For
- Previous tax preparation experience is an asset
- Familiarity with Canadian tax slips (T4, T5, RRSP, etc.) is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Good communication and customer‑service skills
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Technical Skills
- Experience with r tax software is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Schedule
- Seasonal position from March 2 to April 30
- Hours will be full time, overtime will be required as well
- Some evening or weekend availability may be required during peak weeks
